Supporting Species Survival- Speciologie Partner Tim Jeffs

Speciologie is proud to have partnered with wildlife artist Tim Jeffs to create the initial Speciologie lost species illustrations. Tim’s artwork has helped raise animal awareness and research funding for well-known organizations including The World Wildlife Fund, The Seattle Aquarium, The Cheetah Conservation Fund, The International Rhino Foundation, and The Panama Wildlife Conservation.

“I’ve always had a passion for drawing animals, and being able to raise animal awareness through my artwork has been such a meaningful way to educate people about conservation. I often include the category of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) conservation list along with my drawings so people can appreciate the populations of species. Some animals on the list are thriving and their numbers increasing, while others are teetering on the edge of existence, and some sadly are no longer living in the wild or have become extinct altogether.

Extinction is part of our planet’s history, but it is harsh reality to imagine that we are responsible for causing so many animals to go extinct. There are over 16 thousand species listed as threatened to go extinct today. That is why I am proud to be creating drawings for Speciologie of extinct animals that have since been lost. Bring attention to species that once roamed the earth but are no longer here is imperative to changing societies mindset. Hopefully with awareness and conservation efforts animals that are struggling to survive can be saved. Together through animal art, we can change the world!”
